это в юкейхот фети?! там же вроде первая десятка по продажам... а потом идут продажи + звучание на радио... сингл же тока сеня вышел.. мож пднимется

I guess we are all familiar with the official Robbie Williams site. Maybe you were one of those unfortunate fans who suffered through the ticket fiasco of the Close Encounters tour last year, and paid £25.00 for the privilege or suffered through poor service, invisible free gifts, site downtimes.. well on top of all that - it seems RW.com are not always open and honest with Rob's fans, at the expense of Rob's chart positions and sales statistics.

Today one of our members discovered that whilst ie music have been promoting the new single ‘She’s Madonna’ on the official site and their myspace, encouraging members to download from www.robbiewilliams.com, It is a fact that all the music downloads from that site count for nothing when it comes to chart registration.

It is not an official download site… in other words if you download from that site your purchase doesn’t get Robbie any higher in the charts.

I appreciate this isn't the reason we buy Rob's music but Robbie fans have wanted to show their support by placing him high in the charts, since the slatings by the press of rudeboxs performance.

Perhaps the unexpected lower sales of rudebox and its released singles to date was due to this grave error on the part of RW.com? Have the efforts of these fans been wasted?

The fansites of other artists nearly all advertise their artists latest download releases, BUT they are sold through the official download sites listed on the radio 1 website to ensure their artists achieve good chart positions. RW.com do not

So whilst unwitting fans have been thinking they are showing support for their favourite artist, in fact it has made no difference to what position the albums or singles chart at! In fact, it could seriously damage positions if the majority of his fanbase are being loyal and supportive by using his official site for their purchases (when they're actually in stock )

The press have recently slammed Robbie’s releases and labelled them failures, just how many sales weren’t counted ? Did you buy your Rudebox download from them? Would those download figures have made a great difference…I believe so.

How about the official sites sales of physical cds and dvds..... do these count?

From 1st January this year the way that the sales are calculated changed:

The shake-up means that any download will count towards the top 75, even if it is not available on the high street. Previously, downloads only counted towards the chart in the week before a song was released on CD, and until two weeks after the CD was deleted.

Test charts show that Christmas songs by Wham and Mariah Carey would have been in last years festive top 40 under the new rules. CD singles are also allowed extra tracks and extended running times to help them compete with downloads.

"This new ruling changes the nature of a single and puts the consumer in the driving seat," said Steve Redmond, director of the UK Official Charts Company. Is the consumer in the driving seat ?, not if they purchase from RW.com it seems -

Where would Robbie’s so called flops have been in the charts had all the download from his official site been counted?

Downloads have helped to revitalise the UK's singles market, driving sales up from 32.3m in 2004 to 62.1m in the first 51 weeks of 2006. US hip-hop duo Gnarls Barkley became the first act to reach number one purely through downloads in April 2006.

I ask you to contact rw.com on info@robbiewilliams.com and voice your concerns, and insist that they make it known to fans that their purchase of downloads and physical cds (if that is the case - we are still waiting to get a response to this) do not count in the charts and to see if they could use a download distributer in the future that DOES count towards the chart as the majority of official artist sites already do.

Other music artist official sites direct fans to official download sites why doesn't RW.com - surely they want to support their artist too?

ROBBIE CHECKS OUT OF REHAB
SINGER Robbie Williams returned home last night after finishing a 21-day drugs rehab.

Robbie, 33, who was battling an addiction to prescription drugs, will continue to get counselling at his home in Los Angeles, his spokeswoman said.

He had been so desperate to get privacy for his cure that he had kept his location secret.

While it was believed he was in the Meadows centre, where model Kate Moss was treated for her cocaine habit, he is now understood to have been in the Cottonwood de Tucson clinic, also in Arizona.

Cottonwood is in a very secluded location in the desert.

His spokeswoman, Bryony Watts, confirmed: "Robbie Williams has completed treatment in Arizona and continues an after-care programme in LA."
It is understood Robbie was popping a cocktail of prescription anxiety and sleeping pills, including powerful Vicodin and Xanax, before he admitted himself to rehab.
Last night, he was relaxing at his mansion in the Hollywood Hills.
And friends revealed he had kept occupied in rehab by swotting up on trivia, reading quiz books and looking up amazing facts online.
One pal said counsellors at the clinic told Robbie, who enjoys games nights with friends, that keeping his mind active was the best way to combat his problems.
The friend added: "Everyone is now glad Rob is out of rehab and finally able to get on with his life."
