К сожалению, ты не совсем прав. Достать какую-либо информацию о ТТ до недавнего времени у нас в России было весьма проблематично даже для фанатов оной группы.. Если с аудио дела обстояли более менее,то вот с официальными видео(концертными) была беда настоящая. Сейчас, конечно, уже проще в виду посдених событий.

Все,хватит,люди, без грубостей и наездов вполне можно обойтись.Тут палка о двух концах: фэны ТТ обижены на Робби,который в какой-то мере отнял у них то,что они любили больше всего. Фэны Робби(опять же,только некоторые) считают ТТ тормозом в его карьере .. Надо привыкнуть,что фанаты этих ребят давно разбились на несколько лагерей, не всегда и не во всем согласных друг с другом.

British pop hunk ROBBIE WILLIAMS has created a series of artworks featuring his own likeness for a new exhibition. The ROCK DJ hitmaker's head and shoulders star in a series of black and white images, dotted with blocks of colour. The 32-year-old's four artworks will go on display at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff from Monday (27NOV06), with an asking price of $5,310 (GBP2,950). An exhibition spokesman says, "Robbie's a real artist - both in his music and his pictures. We wanted to bring art into the 21st century and make it interesting for younger people. Robbie's perfect for that."

SPIEGEL interview with Robbie Williams



The musician Robbie Williams about his depression, traumatic memories of his Take That times, the addiction to recognition and his new album "Rudebox".

Spiegel: Mr Williams, several lyrics of your new album "Rudebox", that will hit the market next week, are about the same theme: Robbie Williams. Are you your greatest fan?
Williams: Well spotted. But everything I do has to do with me. And before you ask: Yes, the album is therapeutic. Plus it is nostalgic.
SPIEGEL: You mean because the sons remind you of the eighties? A decade that you have experienced as a teenager and that many music critics see as the byword for bad taste.
WILLIAMS: But the one in which I first developed something like an identity. I discovered my love for pop. I was enthusiastic about hip-hop and break dance and found everything great that somehow sounded electric. And I tie my album to the first pregnant memories. It’s the first real Robbie Williams album.
SPIEGEL: Isn’t this the most boring of all advertising jingles every pop musician says about his work?
WILLIAMS: That might be true for the others but I have never said that before. You may go and search the archives for it, if you don’t believe me. With all my previous albums I wanted to please everyone under the sun, impress media people. This album I have really only done for myself.
Spiegel: For whom have you done your previous album "Intensive Care" then? Not for the about six million buyers?
Of course, but also for all who still think I am a pop marionette. A lively pop-doll, that dances and sings when a clever magician pulls the invisible strings in the background.
SPIEGEL: The puppet-player was songwriter Guy Chambers, with whom you have worked together since 1997?
WILLIAMS: Yes. Before intensive care that was the reason why I parted from him. Many critics believed that I had only little influence on the music and lyrics. So they expect that his farewell would be my sure end.
I wanted to prove with "Intensive care", and now also with "Rudebox" that I can record a successful Robbie Williams album without him. I wanted respect from that people that didn’t even trust me on tying m own shoelaces. Apart from that I wanted to like myself for once.
SPIEGEL: Isn’t it much more difficult to please yourself then it is to please other people?
WILLIAMS: Indeed, that is the most difficult thing. I have loved all my records until some critic punished it with so much hatred that it was hard for me to still like them. I still don’t like to listen to some of my old songs anymore. But time heals the wounds and I rediscover even some of my old records.
SPIEGEL: You have sold more then 50 Million records and fill football stadiums around the planet. Isn’t that enough to give you self-confidence? Why is it so hard for you to deal with critique?
WILLIAMS: because it is never about my work, about my music. The attacks are always targeted at me personally. I long for objectivity. Is that too much to ask for? I only want my music to be loved – and me myself a bit too of course.
SPIEGEL: Some of your new lyrics read as if they are the result of psychological therapy in which you analyse your time with Take That. Why do you still occupy yourself with that phase?
WILLIAMS: There’s a lot of sadness inside of me. Let’s call it melancholy. But I am not irreconcilable. On the one hand some of my old mates didn’t make it easy for me to like them. On the other hand after every attack of melancholy I’m in a good mood for a while.
SPIEGEL: Do songs really work as therapy against melancholy and depression?
WILLIAMS: No, unfortunate it is not that easy. But if I write about things that have hurt me it does help of course to deal with them. But believe me, sometimes I do feel very miserable.
SPIEGEL: The biography "feel" that came out two years ago reported about your depression. It doesn’t seem like you’re much better today.
WILLIAMS: Surely. There were times it made me feel down when I just thought about Take That. From one to the other moment I felt horrible. Then I wished I could turn back time and d a few things different in my life. But I’m over that. I know that I feel much better today, that there is a lot less pain I’m feeling then I did some years ago. Maybe that is because I write songs about my problems, maybe that is because I am getting older. Or maybe because my doctor has prescribed me better drugs. Maybe it’s a bit of everything.
SPIEGEL: It’s hard for you when the critics **** you off. Do you feel underestimated in general?
WILLIAMS: Oh you know I find it better to sell 50 Million records and be underestimated then to sell 1 Million records and be overestimated. Or what do you think? But it’s decisive that in both cases you’re not happy. It’s great to be successful. But it is irritating when you get beaten up by the media in your home – in my case England.
English journalists hate me and everything I do.
SPIEGEL: Isn’t that a bit exaggerating?
WILLIAMS: Obviously you don’t take me serious either because I don’t exaggerate. I read all that shit!
SPIEGEL: Why do you do that to yourself?
WILLIAMS: Because I am sick. I’m mental. But you also do things that aren’t good for you. Don’t you eat up a whole bar of chocolate once in a while? Don’t you drink a beer too much every now and then?
SPIEGEL: Possible.
WILLIAMS: You see. Then you should understand what’s going on with me. Imagine you’re sitting in a room alone. And you know that next-door people gossip about you. Don’t you listen? Believe me, every ordinary human would press his ear against the wall after a while. I think it’s just human to torture yourself with the negative. If you don’t care about the gossip about you, you must be the Dalai Lama or any other spiritual super-being. But for me the whole thing is a bit more complicated because it’s all public and because I track down the hidden meanness faster then most other people. I pay a lot of money to someone to help me distance from the things that pull me down. Without success!
SPIEGEL: Does it fall under "track down" that you read what’s written about you on the Internet?
WILLIAMS: All the time. Another addiction and a grave mistake. Even in the Internet I only find hate. That’s why I prefer to be in countries where I don’t speak the language. In Germany for example. All the mean things that are published about me, I don’t understand them, so I don’t care. So Germany is clean for me, just as France and Mexico. I only know that in these countries my shows are full and my records sell. Thanks!
SPIEGEL: What stories do you find about yourself in the Internet?
This morning I read that I have been in the pharmacy of Harrold’s. There I have told him that he should get some condoms and diapers. Because I pee into bed and it happens that the girl beside me can’t save herself on time.
Spiegel: Does that make you sad or do you laugh when you read such things about yourself?
WILLIAMS: In this case I laughed because it is just too stupid. I was at Harrods twice in my life, but never even close to the pharmacy, just in case there is one, but in the toy section. So just to get this straight: no, Robbie doesn’t pee into his bed.
SPIEGEL: At the start of your career you said you envy all the people who are more successful then you. Is that still true?
WILLIAMS: today I know how foolish that was. But of course it’s easy to say that when you’re very successful. Greed is human and ugly but natural. I wish I was free of that today but I’m still not totally. But at least I am aware about that.
SPIEGEL: What are you jealous about?
WILLIAMS: About good songs.
SPIEGEL: The last good song you have heard?
WILLIAMS: "Angels".
SPIEGEL: That’s your own hit.
WILLIAMS: right. I’d rather like to say whom I adore: the U2 singer Bono for example, because it seems he can deal with people very relaxed. But if you insist on an answer: I envy the people whose life is less complicated then mine.
SPIEGEL: A complicated life is a normal consequence of fame.
WILLIAMS: I know. You get used to it and still you’re shocked every now and then. If I would go down to the hotel bar now, everyone in the room would stare at me. Even if most people try to do it decently I feel the eyes on me. And that’s shocking in time and again.
SPIEGEL: When was the last time you did not get recognised?
WILLIAMS: When I was sitting alone in my room a few minutes ago.
SPIEGEL: Is that why you live in Hollywood since a few years? Because Robbie Williams is by far not as famous there as he id in Europe?
WILLIAMS: I still get stared at in the streets. I believe they think I’m famous somewhere oversees. In Los Angels one remains unimpressed in general. No one wants pictures with me there.
SPIEGEL: Contrary to Europe where there seems to be a photographer in every hotel lobby taking pictures when you come close to a women for more then two seconds. And she sells her alleged sex-adventure to a newspaper.
WILLIAMS: I like sex, also on my tours. As single I even need more sex. At the same time I know that many girls only want to get to bed with me to sell their story thereafter. Or I wasn’t in bed with them and they sell some fairy tale. 60 to 70 percent of the Robbie-sex-stories you can read are just fake.
SPIEGEL: Does that annoy you?
WILLIAMS: Yes because I wish I had indeed slept with all these girls. I see the pictures in the newspapers and find most of them really cute. So come here! I must somehow profit from this circus.
SPIEGEL: That doesn’t sound like the melancholic Robbie Williams at all.
WILLIAMS: You think I should be more in for romantic love? See, I am not at all interested in falling in love. I’m not looking for a lasting relationship. I’m 32 years old. And I like to be alone. Relationships are hard work and I’m too egoistic for that at the moment.
SPIEGEL: Isn’t it more complicated with love? When you fall in love you can’t just shake that off can you?
WILLIAMS: I think many people are in love with a romantic idea of love. And I’m in love with the idea of not falling in love. But likely I’m hoping for someone to convince me of the opposite.
SPIEGEL: Might a laid-back womaniser image be a hinder?
WILLIAMS: Might be, but it pays off to have a look behind the scenes. I’m a god guy. I’m funny. And I’m very generous. I know that. The women still come, although I have that image, and some when one will stay – because of my real qualities.
SPIEGEL: More and more successful artists get independent from the big record companies and bring out their music themselves. Does Robbie Williams still need a biog record company?
WILLIAMS: I contract still binds me. But I would like to release my music independently from a record company. Then I could even say I’ll never give an interview again.
SPIEGEL: With this attitude Prince also wasn’t very successful.
WILLIAMS: I’m totally aware of the risks. I know that without the help of a record company I might sell less and therefore earn less money. But you know what? I really don’t care about money. I wouldn’t need to work anymore since a long time.
SPIEGEL: what keeps you going then?
WILLIAMS: Only my ego. I do all of that only for myself. But the machinery of the music industry is making me sick more and more. This running wheel takes away my last power and pulls n my nerves incredibly. I pray that I can escape this machinery as soon as possible.
SPIEGEL: Do we understand you correctly: When you record contract expires, you will not sign another one?
WILLIAMS: that’s exactly what it means.
SPIEGEL: The maybe you’ll have more time for the book you’re working on.
WILLIAMS: At the moment the work is resting because I am too lazy. 40 pages are done, 260 are still missing. In school even friends called me "dummy". Or "fatty". Children can be really cruel. But hello! Now the fat dummy writes a book. Why? Because I want to. Really dumb isn’t it? And you know what?
SPIEGEL: Please.
WILLIAMS: My book will sell like mad.
SPIEGEL: Mr Williams, thank you very much for this talk.

Robbie Williams сыграет в рождественской пьесе про Алладина. Лучший друг музыканта Jonathan Wilkes занят постановкой пантомимы в театре Regent Theatre в Stoke-on-Trent. На долю Уильямса выпало сыграть роль Джина из лампы. Причем сам певец на сцене не появится, вместо него будет использована видеоголограмма Робби. Robbie Williams замахнулся на высокое искусство. Музыкант нарисовал серию собственных портретов в знаменитой стилистике основателя поп-арта Andy Warhol'а. Работы Уильямса можно будт увидеть и оценить в Wales Millennium Centre, где также представлены знаменитые творения Пикассо, Дали и Шагала. Все автопортреты, изображающие музыканта в различных позах и цветовых гаммах можно будет приобрести за 2,950 фунтов. Представитель выставочного центра The Millennium Centre уверяет, что Робби - одаренный художник. "Мы хотели привнести в нашу коллекцию нечто новое. Продемонстрировать молодой публике, что искусство понятно и интересно всем. Нам очень повезло выставлять работы Роба в рамках этого проекта".
